Watercolor and Ink painting

There’s something very magical about full moons at night. Living in Colorado, the moon can get so big and crystal clear in the sky. I’ve always loved the folklore and mythology that orbits around the moon. I probably believe more than that than I do ghosts. (I don’t really believe in ghost so that’s a whole other post.)
Monday, the second day of the week, is named after the moon. In Latin, it was referred to as "dies Lunae," meaning "day of the moon," which eventually was translated into Old English as mōnandæg. This Old English term is related to mōna ("moon") and dæg ("day"), literally translating to "moon day."
Interesting fact though, John and I were both born on nights where the moon was 100% full. Daphne was born on a new moon and we are all Aquarius’s. A house of Aquarius’s. Oh Lordy.
